Convictions - "The War That Followed Me Home" Premiere

Image
T he Ohio native christian metalcore vets Convictions have returned with a new track called "The War That Followed Me Home" which is the follow-up to the band's highly successful single "The Price Of Grace" which will be from their upcoming record "I Won't Survive" which is set to release May 7th, 2021. The new track is a sense of bombast and explosive metal riffage that is perfect for anyone's metal playlist. The track is a perfect representation of the band's more melodic side while also having the chunky riffs, the monstrous screamed and clean vocals, and the pummeling drum and bass that flow perfectly together as a unit of uncontrollable rage. The band has gracious allowed us to premiere this new track and we hope that you enjoy it as much as we do. A Day To Remember - "You're Welcome" Album Review

Image
In 2021 we have already seen a drastic change in our country to get to a sense of some sort of normal. And while we're not there quite yet it is news that we've all been dying to hear. And when it comes to the music industry and where it's being led takes with it some eye rolls and wondering where has creativity gone; and on A Day To Remember's first album in five years "You're Welcome" that is the overarching question that lingers throughout the listen as you wonder how this record manages to go off the rails and never finds it's footing. Sure bands can evolve their sound as to being the reason for this record, but evolving doesn't mean sucking the soul out of a record that fans have been anticipating since 2019. So on "You're Welcome" how do the band manage to try and forego a formula that they are well known for and completely wash it out with a lazy follow up to their last record "Bad Vibrations"?. Well it's simple. ...

Furnace Fest Returns

Image
It's no wonder when live performances will occur again but with the recent news of vaccines being tripled and will be accessible in the following weeks and with restrictions being lifted in some states around the country; it's safe to say that this era of lockdowns and isolation could be on it's last leg. And with that comes a slew of announcements coming from all over the music landscape and today along with other announcements of potential touring we have the announcement from the Furnace Fest camp that it is indeed happening and will take place in September in Birmingham, AL at Sloss Furnaces. For those who don't know Furnace Fest was a short-lived music festival that took place in the early 2000's and was and still is remembered well by the people that partook in the original's existence. Well in 2019 the promoters behind the festival announced it's return for 2020 and as with everything that was canceled or postponed in 2020 the festival was not able to...

In Division: Define The Great Line (An Album Review/Analysis)

Image
(Introduction) Picture this. The year is 2006. The world saw a huge rise in the Warped Tour and emo scenes with the likes of My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Green Day, Panic! At The Disco, Paramore, and many others leading the charge for a generation of new listeners being introduced to a new world of rock and metal. Now picture this. A band that saw small town success as a deathcore band in the 90's slowly turning into screamo and metalcore giants amongst some of the best that the scene had to offer at the time. Generating a lot of buzz from their highly successful 2004 record "They're Only Chasing Safety" which would be later regarded as one of the greatest scene releases of all time and would later lay down the ground work for what would become "Define The Great Line". As we go through this album review/analysis we have to understand what makes "Define The Great Line" the truly legendary album that it is. What made it such a cultural phenomen...

Fallstar - "Sunbreather" Album Review

Image
As we continue through this odd year that is 2021 the music industry continues to thrive as the releases that are coming out have been some the best releases the scene has had in quite sometime and Fallstar's thriving comeback record "Sunbreather" is one of those said records. In five years Fallstar really managed to step up their game here as the band's self proclaimed "The best record of all time" the band try to set a high bar for themselves and succeed at it as "Sunbreather" is without a doubt one of the heaviest, well balanced, and eclectic heavy records that have come in some time. And since it's been five years since their last record "Future Golden Age" and two years since the release of their side project Northlander's "Forces Of Light"; how do the band manage to hold their own after five years of inactivity?. For those who don't know Fallstar for a quick summary they are a metalcore band that just so happen...
