Album Review | Beartooth "Below" (They have risen from the below. And came back with heavy riffs.)

Image
At a time where bands and artists decide to take artistic liberties with their already existing sound and change it to make it sound even heavier than previous releases, leave it to Beartooth to step up to the plate and create a hellish experience of already existing hardcore  riffs and attitude and blend in even heavier elements to create the monstrous "Below" ; an album that is already making big moves that fans did not expect it to, but it's oh so worth it. With an album like "Below"  there are so many comparisons that could be made here considering some of the more obvious influences that are filled to the brim on the record but credit for where credit is due the band manage to take elements from what you would typically find on a Beartooth record and manage to spice up the formula by adding elements of decades past to really set this record a part from the pack, and it manages to do it very well. The sounds that Caleb Shomo and company created here are mind

TrueShot has ended

TrueShot . One of the best and most unique acts in modern metalcore has announced it's disbandment. While no one actually knows why or what persisted to the lead up of this ultimate decision, but the blow is nothing short of saddening. A band well known for their online presence and their reaction channel on the platform YouTube , the band has garnered a small but devoted fanbase that is now shocked by this news and rightfully so, as this announcement is a shock that will be felt for days to come. Before this the band were set to play their first comeback show since the Coronavirus Pandemic in 2020 with their appearance at the Blue Ridge Rock Festival this summer alongside some massive acts in both the metal and rock scenes. As well as plans to write and record new music that we could have seen in the near future. This news is definitely one that is a tough pill to swallow. Album Review | Death Therapy "Melancholy Machines" (A modern industrial masterpiece?)

Image
In a time where modern music keeps evolving and expanding it's creativity to strive to make modern art, there is something to be said about when someone expands the roots of industrial music and turning it into something unique. For Death Therapy , A band well known for making consistent and worth while industrial tinged heavy metal records you would not think that a band like this would think outside of the box and create a straight forward industrial rock  record with all of the classic elements still in tact with their new record "Melancholy Machines" but that is something that we do have here, but to no one's surprise there is a lot of content here to unpack. With a record like this you would think that the transition from technical  industrial metal to industrial rock would hinder the record; but in reality the record is actually aided by the turn around to a more 'rockier' sound, and the music that was created by Jason Wisdom and company is something tha

Single Review | Memphis May Fire "Blood & Water" (A glorious return to heavy music.)

Image
"You can't believe what you hear from the mouth of a serpent." On Friday, Memphis May Fire released the first single from their upcoming 2021 album release "Blood & Water" , and it sounds better than anyone would've imagined. They've completely trashed the edgy "alt-dad rock" sound that was heard on  "Broken" ; an album that even diehard fans refuse to acknowledge its existence, and decided to go HEAVY once again.  The heavyweight metalcore titans from the Lone Star State have always been well known for mixing heavy music with soaring melodies and unique guitar riffs, with their most well known and critically acclaimed discography consisting of "The Hollow" and "Challenger."  While "Unconditional"  and "This Light I Hold"  are considered to be acquired tastes and pale in comparison to their aforementioned work, these albums are solid and deserve to be heard. After hearing the divisive rel
