News | As Cities Burn joins the Furnace Fest lineup

Today is a good day for fans that will be attending Furnace Fest in Birmingham, AL this summer as one of the more notable names in the east coast christian/emo scene has announced that they will be performing this year with a very special set. The Louisiana post-hardcore vets As Cities Burn have announced that they will be performing their iconic debut album "Son, I Loved You At Your Darkest" in it's entirety as a part of Friday's lineup, replacing another notable name Glasseater after they had to drop off the lineup due to a founding member of the band Julio Marin currently dealing with health issues. If you are a fan of this scene and you have been a part of this festival back in the day, then you already know that As Cities Burn 's inclusion is huge news. Meadows join Facedown Records. Releases "The Depths"

Meadows, A band that has been consistently crafting and creativity monumental music in both the melodic-hardcore and post-hardcore lanes of music, dropped a bombshell of news today as they get ready to gear up for the summer and play at some of the great summer festivals that are making their returns as concerts and live music make their comeback after a year of uncertainties. The band announced on Friday that they have signed to the christian hardcore label Facedown Records, the home of some of the greatest acts to grace both the punk and metal worlds and announce the release of their new track "The Depths", which will be a part of their forthcoming ep "In Those Days & Also After, Pt. Furnace Fest Returns

It's no wonder when live performances will occur again but with the recent news of vaccines being tripled and will be accessible in the following weeks and with restrictions being lifted in some states around the country; it's safe to say that this era of lockdowns and isolation could be on it's last leg. And with that comes a slew of announcements coming from all over the music landscape and today along with other announcements of potential touring we have the announcement from the Furnace Fest camp that it is indeed happening and will take place in September in Birmingham, AL at Sloss Furnaces. For those who don't know Furnace Fest was a short-lived music festival that took place in the early 2000's and was and still is remembered well by the people that partook in the original's existence.
