News | As Cities Burn joins the Furnace Fest lineup

Today is a good day for fans that will be attending Furnace Fest in Birmingham, AL this summer as one of the more notable names in the east coast christian/emo scene has announced that they will be performing this year with a very special set.

The Louisiana post-hardcore vets As Cities Burn have announced that they will be performing their iconic debut album "Son, I Loved You At Your Darkest" in it's entirety as a part of Friday's lineup, replacing another notable name Glasseater after they had to drop off the lineup due to a founding member of the band Julio Marin currently dealing with health issues.

If you are a fan of this scene and you have been a part of this festival back in the day, then you already know that As Cities Burn's inclusion is huge news. And while it is sad to see Glasseater having to go through the hardships dealing with health concerns, it is still fantastic news to see one of the big names of the scene get announced for such a worthwhile event.

Our thoughts, prayers, and condolences go out to the members of Glasseater during this time.

From Furnace Fest - "Due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, Glasseater will sadly not be performing at Furnace Fest. We will deeply miss them and appreciate so much their willingness even to consider reuniting for us. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Julio for a speedy and complete recovery. Love to each of you!

In addition to re-adding the legendary Jeremy Enigk on Saturday, we're honored to welcome As Cities Burn to the Friday line-up for a spectacular set - Son, I Loved You At Your Darkest - performed in full!"

From As Cities Burn - "Birmingham AL - Furnace Fest Sept 24-26 2021 - We will be performing our first record in its entirety. Cover to cover. Friday the 24th.

"Son, I Loved You At Your Darkest" - Come relive it with us. Not much else to say."
