Premiere | Idle Threat "No Turning Back"

Image
Honest, powerful, and poignant rock 'n' roll. Tooth & Nail's newcomers Idle Threat have been making a name for themselves as they coast along the scene's wide landscape, getting high praise for their one-of-a-kind masterpiece blurred visions with one of the big stand outs being their leadoff single "No Turning Back" .  The track like the record itself shows a full display of peace and humility, finding comfort in oneself which reaching out to the people around you, while coming to the realization that you have no control. It's a track that goes full throttle without skipping any beats, going all in with its energetic alt-rock/post-hardcore sound, giving us a taste of what rock music is. It's an uplifting track that never let's go, and it's oh so beautiful. Much like its video that the band are sharing with us for your viewing pleasures. We are very excited to be partnering with Idle Threat in premiering the video for "No Turning Back...

Announcement | Introducing Party Program

Image
The time has come. After much waiting and anticipation we are now ready to share something with you that we are very excited about. Introducing Party Program . A post-hardcore outfit carefully crafted during the long and grueling days of the pandemic and isolation. Started by former Empty members Cody Constantine and Mitchell Mayes; Party Program is something unique that is destined to make a splash in the foreseeable future.  The band are set to finally roll out the process with their debut ep "These Are Just Songs, Thank You." ; Party Program sets out to do what other bands fail to do in comparison, and that is live by their words; to be as honest and meaningful as they possibly can be. To create a mindset and community of living up to what you say on stage and take actions when they are needed. And that is a message that we can get behind. The first single "Coward Season" which is set to drop this Friday perfectly reflects that mindset and the vision that the ban...

Single Review | Bring Me The Horizon "DiE4u" (BMTH goes pop punk?!)

Image
"SO PULL THE TRIGGER" The time has come. After the massive release "Post Human: Survival Horror" in 2020, which signaled the return of the raw and heavy sound that Bring Me The Horizon were strongly known for in the past; fans were eager to find a super heavy and enthralling sound that in some cases had been absent since releases like "Sempiternal" or "There Is A Hell Believe Me I've Seen It, There Is A Heaven Let's Keep It A Secret" , letting people know that the band had not abandoned the metalcore infused sound that they were at one point known very strongly for. And, with the the release of their new single "DiE4u" we see the band familiar territories while also adding in new elements never before seen in their discography. What makes "DiE4u" such an interesting piece of work is the flowing perspectives of what seems like two different eras of the band's evolving sound, while also paving it's own lane to cr...

Single Review | Anberlin "Two Graves" (They are back from the grave. And they are heavy)

Image
"IF YOU WANT REVENGE, THEN YOU SHOULD DIG TWO GRAVES" It's time. After years of isolation, Anberlin have returned with their first release in over 7 years since the release of their (as of now) final record Lowborn in 2014. After all of this time in-between releases, what does "Two Graves" have in store? and what does the band bring to the table after all this time away? What makes "Two Graves" so special is the overflowing creativity and longevity that the band has been known for after all this time, the band's long-standing career has made them able to create and craft beautiful pieces of alt-rock bliss, and "Two Graves" might be among some of the bands' best and arguably "heaviest" material to date. The evolving sounds of alt-rock and emo angst with additional elements of post-hardcore and hard rock,  bring the track an extra added punch with a fast paced energy that crushes with all force. The electrifying guitar and bas...

Album Review | Beartooth "Below" (They have risen from the below. And came back with heavy riffs.)

Image
At a time where bands and artists decide to take artistic liberties with their already existing sound and change it to make it sound even heavier than previous releases, leave it to Beartooth to step up to the plate and create a hellish experience of already existing hardcore  riffs and attitude and blend in even heavier elements to create the monstrous "Below" ; an album that is already making big moves that fans did not expect it to, but it's oh so worth it. With an album like "Below"  there are so many comparisons that could be made here considering some of the more obvious influences that are filled to the brim on the record but credit for where credit is due the band manage to take elements from what you would typically find on a Beartooth record and manage to spice up the formula by adding elements of decades past to really set this record a part from the pack, and it manages to do it very well. The sounds that Caleb Shomo and company created here are mind...

Album Review | Twenty One Pilots "Scaled And Icy" (A colorful mess)

Image
In the new day and age of bands and artists experimenting and expanding their creativity and striving to become even more creative, there is something to be said about when that creativity get's lost in translation. As for Twenty One Pilots ; a creative musical duo who have been expanding their creative pallet for years now; they have been shifting their career with defining moments all over the map, but it begs the question as to what and why that creativity has landed us at their new record "Scaled And Icy". A record that can only be described as a wonderful and colorful mess that feels like it's lost in it's own world. When the term "colorful mess" is used don't take it as a downside as to why the record is bad or anything of the sort; it's just something that can best be described for this album and the contexts behind it. The record deals with topics that have been very prominent throughout the past couple of years as the record focuses on l...

What is happening with Relient K? (Potential reunion?, breaking hiatus?, coming out of retirement?, new music?. What's up?!)

Image
If you have been around the internet for the past 10-15 years, you may have seen the name Relient K come up from time to time; whether it be from the early days of MySpace, Purevolume, and online chat rooms, to modern social tech with Facebook groups being all the rage these days in these odd times that we live in. Relient K have been in and out of the spotlight now for quite some time. The band has had major success in the early to mid 2000's, and even until now with their most recent output "Air For Free" hitting us way back in 2016, the band have become a unique outfit of pop punk and rock n' roll, having managed to gravitate towards that direction ever since their inception in 1998; giving fans old and new that sweet dose of spiritual infused pop punk and rock that is still well loved to this day. While the band have remained dormant for the past few years; rumors have been circulating over the internet that a potential reunion of the band could be surfacing. Rumo...

Twenty One Pilots - "Shy Away" Single Review (New Album. New Era. New Sound. Postal Service vibes?!)

Image
In the midst of a brighter future and with the hope of normality on the horizon, it's safe to say that the future looks extremely bright; and with that comes new eras of life. As f or the well loved and critically esteemed pop-rock band Twenty One Pilots, that new era is quickly dawning upon us. The band have released their first single and lead off track 'Shy Away' from their forthcoming album "Scaled And Icy", and it's safe to say that the band is diving headfirst into uncharted waters with this new sound, featuring thrilling guitars and bass that will instantly remind fans of that of The Postal Service. The name "Scaled And Icy" is an enneagram for "Clancy is dead", giving fans some references from their previous album "Trench" to tie the new era with the previous one together. This new song perfectly incorporates the band's core sound with elements of alternative rock, giving off vibes of the likes of The 1975, Half Alive,...

Fallstar - "Sunbreather" Album Review

Image
As we continue through this odd year that is 2021 the music industry continues to thrive as the releases that are coming out have been some the best releases the scene has had in quite sometime and Fallstar's thriving comeback record "Sunbreather" is one of those said records. In five years Fallstar really managed to step up their game here as the band's self proclaimed "The best record of all time" the band try to set a high bar for themselves and succeed at it as "Sunbreather" is without a doubt one of the heaviest, well balanced, and eclectic heavy records that have come in some time. And since it's been five years since their last record "Future Golden Age" and two years since the release of their side project Northlander's "Forces Of Light"; how do the band manage to hold their own after five years of inactivity?. For those who don't know Fallstar for a quick summary they are a metalcore band that just so happen...

dc Talk - "Jesus Freak" Album Review (25 Years Of Jesus Freak)

Image
In the world of the contemporary christian music scene there so many few records that can make an everlasting grip on the listener and DC Talk's "Jesus Freak" is one of those records. A record that not only made an impact on the christian contemporary scene but also music worldwide as a whole. With the likes of Audio Adrenaline, MxPx, Switchfoot, Jars Of Clay and more making their marks on the 90's; DC Talk was crafting one of the greatest pieces of politically charged music of all time and undoubtedly one of the most important pieces of music in history. Tackling topics of racism, culture, religion, atheism, facing hypocrisy and intolerance, and acceptance; mark this record with an urge for the controversial but also an urgency for the religiously inclined to wake up and realize the problems we face and fight them head on. It's a message that fits so well in our current climate and it's a message that is instantly relatable in today's corrupt world. Gener...

Empty - "Hope And The Loss Of It" Album Review (One Year Of HATLOI)

Image
In 2017 a local band from Myrtle Beach hit the scene and made an impact on a small but loyal fanbase. After being signed to Solid State Records in 2019 the band made waves with an incredible debut record called "Hope And The Loss Of It". This record means a lot to the fans who have heard it and is a record that has a message that they want to get across; and since the record released a year ago today, why not revisit this record and point out why this record is a force to be reckon with. "Hope And The Loss Of It" is one of those records that hits you with emotion and grit; It's a record that harkens back to the early days of emotional hardcore with some modern twists to it. As a post-hardcore record you would think that the record comes with some of the tropes that sometimes ruins records like this but the fact of the matter is is that this is a record that takes the style and elevates it to something that you would not expect from a record of it's kind.  Th...
